Book of james study outline9/5/2023 “for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.“to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness” ( Romans 4:5).He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit” ( Titus 3:5), “He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. Biblical meaning of 'faith without works is dead' We are saved, not by works or deeds, but by the grace of God, redeemed by His work on the cross. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also ( James 2:26).
